    【READER REVIEW】

I thought I had seen quite a bit in Taiwan but this book shows me how much I have left to experience. I can't wait to be on the next adventure and I am glad the author took the risk to go on his journey.
    —Chris@Singapore—

While rarely delving into detail about the rich environments experienced first-hand by the author, his book left me jealous of the exciting transitory lifestyle and plentiful ethereal
    moments touched upon therein.
    —Matt Pelmear@L.A.—

I enjoyed the fresh perspective he shares of his own country. He is right, I think, as travelers we need to be more present, and to learn more about where we are from so we can appreciate where it is we go.
    —Anne@Colorado—

Each of A-Cheng’s stop not only is a valuable and practical lesson on organic farming, but also demonstrates how we can live a happier and healthier life by connecting our farming method more closely with the natural environment.
    —Selena@Melbourne—

Maybe not all of us have the time or resources to do wwoofing in Taiwan for an entire year, but having the chance to do this vicariously via this book, you'll walk away with many of the precious lessons that A-Chengs's learned, such as only to take what you need in nature, and how our food on the table come about...etc.
    —Ruby Chen@Taipei—

This writing is three dimensional; words inside this genuine diary are empowered by A-Chang's passionate dream and love of people and land. It's a book with live tempo and rhythm that you can't cease once you start the journey with him.
    —Richard@Hong Kong—

    "WWOOFing In Taiwan"

Speaking of "Room and Board", the first thing that comes to mind is Working Holiday in Australia. However, Ah-Cheng has decided to work for room and boards around Taiwan for a year. He has climbed the mountains; followed hunters to see Swinhoe's Pheasant; diving into the deep blue ocean and experienced various lifestyles. From natural farming, river trekking, rainwater harvesting to build traditional brick oven, Ah-Cheng recorded different landscapes on the island through his unique eyes.

Ah-Cheng has found friendship and gained encouragement throughout the journey. Through his down-to-earth observations, you will be closer to nature; follow his footprints and experiences, you will find your own "brave heart" to set out a journey of your own. Keep your faith! You can make your dreams come true. Your dreams will bring new discoveries and the discoveries will bring you happiness.
