However Crankie's rebellious nature ultimately catches up with him and he eventually finds himself declared a galactic villain and placed on the Most Wanted list by the Galactic Secret Service. After narrowly avoiding starting a war between the Milky Way and its neighbors Andromeda and Heshny, Crankie manages to somehow save the day.

With his good name restored, Crankie amazes everyone by launching a successful chain of motels and roadhouses in deep space. Then, almost completely by accident, he discovers the previously unknown planet of New Maka, home to a large section of the Red Indian Sioux tribe that the Emperor relocated there several thousand years ago.

Unfortunately for Crankie, trouble seems to have a way of finding him. When his criminal tendencies resurface, he is arrested and exiled as a prisoner on a space freighter, with instructions that he should never be allowed on any planet ever again!

Follow the continuing adventures of Crankie Williams and his motley crew of compatriots in Crankie Williams Goes Ballistic, the first book in a new series from author Franz Ludick.
