After an accident in space, Jay crash-lands onto a new world where he is rescued and enslaved. He is taken to an island and trained to race carts but falls foul of the owner's son, a local prince. The son kidnaps Jay and his driver and sells them in the capital city, Taal. They manage to prove the sale papers were false and are released by the Regal of Taal and return to take their revenge.
Jay escapes the island but returns to try and rescue a young girl. He accidently kills a robber and is sentenced to death, leaving his friend desperately trying to find a way to save him. Jay's driver Taki learns that hostile tribermen have taken the Regal's niece. Could this be a way to save his friend by offering to mount a rescue attempt?
